Bafoussam Mission
A look back at the medical-surgical mission in Cameroon
A unique journey and experience in the heart of West Africa in the mountainous region of Bafoussam.
As part of a medical-surgical mission supported by Hirslanden Clinique Bois-Cerf, Drs Jacques Vallotton, Eric Choudja Ouabo, Patrick Vienne and Cédric Ngbilo visited Bafoussam Hospital in Cameroon in August 2022.
The 16-person medical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, instrumentalists, physiotherapists and nurses, conducted 120 consultations and performed 30 surgical operations in 5 days.
This video highlights the work accomplished by the medical team: starting with the preparation of luggage at the Clinic in Lausanne, the consultations on site in Cameroon, through surgical activities as well as patient visits until the farewell party.
