Professor Dante Marchesi studied medicine at the University of Lausanne and then specialized in orthopedics at the Inselspital in Bern. He subsequently headed the spinal surgery unit at that hospital. In 1992, he left Switzerland for Canada, where he taught at McGill University in Montreal for 10 years while also directing the spinal surgery department. Upon returning to Switzerland, he joined the Clinique Bois-Cerf, where he continues to practice his specialty. For over 25 years, he has been fully committed to the surgical treatment of the spine, teaching, and research, having published numerous articles in leading scientific journals. He is a member of the most prestigious European and North American spinal surgery societies and is regularly invited to speak at conferences abroad.
