Fellow in shoulder surgery

We welcome a new doctor to the Ouchy Orthopedic Centre, Dr. Paul Fairhurst.

Dr. Paul Fairhurst studied medicine at Imperial College London in England, where he obtained his medical degree in 2013. He quickly showed a strong interest in orthopedics and began his specialization in orthopedic surgery by doing an internship at Harvard University in the United States.

Having lived in Switzerland for several years during his childhood, Dr. Paul Fairhurst decided to complete most of his specialization in the orthopedics and traumatology department at the Inselspital in Bern, where he obtained his doctorate in 2017.

After a fellowship in trauma surgery in New Zealand, he was appointed assistant head of clinic at the Yverdon-les-Bains Hospital. In parallel, Dr. Paul Fairhurst conducts academic research, notably within the framework of clinical and laboratory projects, which have resulted in numerous articles published in recognized scientific journals.

Having a particular interest in shoulder surgery, Dr. Paul Fairhurst joined Medicol in May 2023 to further his specialization.
